Scheme approved. Demolition and redevelopment of 1-9 Dorrell Place together with change of use of upper floors of 452-456 Brixton Road and basement and first floors of 11 Dorrell Place with restoration and repair works to retained facades and two storey side extension to 11 Dorrell Place to provide a 96 bedroom hotel in a part two, part three, part five storey building (Use Class C1) retention of front facade and refurbishment of existing retail unit (Use Class A1) at basement and ground floor levels at 452-456 Brixton Road and installation of new shopfronts at ground floor level, retention of existing public house at basement and ground floor levels at 11 Dorrell Place and associated cycle parking, plant, refuse store and landscaping works.

Scheme approved. Demolition of existing buildings and erection of 5 new blocks, ranging from 3 to 5 storeys in height comprising 33 new homes (5 x intermediate and 28 x private) (Use Class C3) and one new 3 storey block comprising 428sqm of workspace (Use Class B1) with associated landscaping, disabled car parking, cycle parking, cycle parking and public realm works.

161 – 179 Manor Place

Scheme approved. Demolition of single storey office building and a derelict three-storey row of shops and flats above (with the retention of the original three-storey Victorian facade), and the construction of a six storey building (behind retained facade) comprising 56 flats (19 x social rented, 9 x intermediate and 28 x private) above a health centre/office space (745sqm) (Use Class D1/B1), pharmacy/shop (85sqm)(Use Class A1) and cafe (285sqm)(Use Class A3), with associated landscaping and public realm works.

110 and 100 Marylebone High Street

Scheme approved.

Application 1: Alterations to entire building including the erection of a mansard roof extension, new plant areas and extract ducting to the backland building, and erection of a building fronting St. Vincent Street comprising ground to fourth floors. Use of the rear lower ground and part ground for restaurant (Class A3) use (accessed from St, Vincent Street), use of part lower ground, part ground, part 1st, 2nd to 4th floor levels as a day nursery (Class D1) (accessed from Cramer Street). (Part of land use swap with 100 Marylebone Lane).

Application 2:

Scheme approved. Demolition of existing five storey building an out buildings and erection of a part five and part three storey serviced apartment hotel building (Use Class C1) with restaurant and spa facilities in newly excavated basement and erection of single storey stair structure in rear garden to provide access to to the basement.

Part Ground, First and Second Floor rear of 252-258 Oxford Street

Scheme approved. Dual alternative use of part ground floor level, part first floor and part second floor as composite use comprising a mini-golf leisure facility with associated restaurant and bar (sui generis) or retail accommodation (Class A1); external works to ground floor entrance on John Prince’s Street and replacement roof plant within existing roof plant enclosure and erection of extract duct. (Site known as 15 John Prince’s Street).

Alhambra House, 27-31 Charing Cross Road

Scheme approved. Use of part basement, ground and upper floors (first to new tenth floor) as a 121 bedroom hotel (Class C1), alterations to ground floor retail unit (Class A1), and associated alterations including the erection of ninth floor extension, and an additional storey (new tenth floor), re-cladding of the building, replacement windows, alterations to ground floor elevation, installation of mechanical plant, and creation of terraces on seventh, eighth and tenth floors.

Rotherhithe Civic Centre, Albion Street

Scheme approved. Construction of part 4-storey, part 5-storey development consisting of commercial space (A1/A3/A5/B1/D1) at ground floor and 26 affordable residential units above ( 14 x social rented flats and 12 x intermediate flats with the following mix: 7 x 1 bed, 11 x 2 bed, 8 x 3 bed). Re-landscaping of the public square to the east of the site.

Committee observations were a refusal to OPDC. Consultation by OPDC for the demolition of existing building and structures and redevelopment of the site for a mixed-use development comprising basement and 20 storeys in height (71.4m above ground level), to provide  83 residential units (Class C3), 225sqm (GIA) retail or cafe/restaurant (Class A1/A3), 425sqm (GIA) nursery (Class D1) and 452sqm (GIA) place of worship and community use (Class D1) with shared circulation space, landscaping and public realm, disabled car parking, cycle parking, plant and associated works.

Scheme approved. Demolition of the existing buildings and the re-development of the site incorporating the erection of six buildings comprised of basement and lower ground floor levels, ranging from four to 10 storeys above ground, landscaped gardens, public square (587 sqm), car parking and associated works; for a mixed use scheme comprised of a waste transfer facility (1,164 sqm GIA) at basement level, B1 office accommodation (3,696sqm GIA) and ancillary cafe (117sqm GIA); and the provision of up to 297 residential units.
