Scheme Approved. Erection of a part 7-storey, part 28-storey and part 30-storey building comprising 15,639 sq.m (GIA) hotel (Use Class C1) floorspace (consisting of 400 bedrooms), 8,537 sq.m (GIA) residential (Use Class C3) floorspace (consisting of a total of 66 homes; comprising 30 x 1 bed, 28 x 2 bed and 8 x 3 bed homes) and 71 sq.m (GIA) flexible retail and community floorspace (Use Class A1//D1), creation of a new ‘left turn only’ vehicular access from West India Dock Road, hard and soft landscape improvements to the adjacent areas of highway and public realm and other associated works.

Scheme approved. Demolition of existing buildings and ancillary structures (11 flats, A1 unit, A5 unit) and construction of a new building comprising ground plus basement and five upper floors for use as 29 no. dwellings (Class C3) and flexible Class A1/A2/A3/A4 together with cycle parking, landscaping, refuse and associated works.

5 Hollybush Place

Scheme approved. Demolition of existing buildings and redevelopment of the land to provide 55 residential units over two blocks comprising one 6 storey building (Building B) and one part 5 and part 7 storey building (Building A) and the provision of 1625 sqm (GIA) of commercial floorspace (Class B1) at lower ground and ground level, with raised podium and associated landscaping, access and cycle parking.

9-11 Richmond Buildings

Scheme approved. Demolition of the existing building and redevelopment of the site to provide a six storey replacement building, with lowered basement, comprising offices (Use B1) at basement, ground and second to fifth floor levels and residential accommodation (Use Class C3) at first floor level comprising two residential units.

240 Seven Sisters Road (including 240a, 240b and 240c)

Scheme approved. Demolition of existing buildings and redevelopment of the site to provide a building of 8 storeys (ground plus 7 upper storeys) accommodating a 192-bedroom hotel (C1 use), ground floor bar/restaurant (A4/A3 use) together with ancillary hard and soft landscaping, cycle parking, refuse storage, and related works.

Laser house, 132-140 Goswell Road

Scheme approved. Partial demolition of rooftop structures and retention of the existing building along with  the construction of a three-storey extension (including plant areas) to the existing building and new three-storey infill building to the corner of Goswell Road and Pear Tree Street resulting in a part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6-storey building including internal reconfiguration and refurbishment of the existing facades to provide for 8,146 square meters (GIA) of office floorspace (Use Class B1(a)) including 481 square metres (GIA) of floorspace for small and micro enterprises (SME), and 671 square metres (GIA) of flexible retail/office floorspace (Use Class A1/B1(a)) along with associated arrangements, cycle parking, refuse storage and ancillary works.

All Saints Annexe (Imperial War Museum) and land to the rear, Austral Street

Scheme deferred. Construction of a three-storey building for Class D1 use (to provide offices and staff accommodation ancillary to the Imperial War Museum) within the rear yard, to incorporate rooftop plant and photovoltaics, together with the change of use of the existing All Saints Annexe building from Class D1 (ancillary to the museum) use to a mixed Class B1 (office) / Class D1 (ancillary to museum) use. The development will include hard and soft landscaping improvements, the provision of a cycle and refuse store, the provision of once accessible car parking space at the front of the All Saints Annexe building, the rebuilding of the site’s boundary wall to Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park, the realignment fo the access road into the site from the Park, demolition of the portable cabin and other associated works.

Scheme refused. Erection of a 10 storey building (40.23m AOD) with basement, comprising a 220 bedroom hotel with ancillary restaurant (Class C1); flexible office space (Class B1);  retail units (Class A1/A3); creation of public space; landscaping and associated works. Work to the existing building at ground and roof levels (including a new rooftop terrace, enclosure and PV panels); elevational alteration; creation of a new entrance and the installation of an architectural feature along Blackfriars Road elevation.

Tenter House, 45 Moorfields

Scheme approved. Demolition of existing building and structures to existing basement slab level and construction of an 18 storey office building (Class B1) [28,071sq.m GEA]with ground and first floor retail (Class A1/A2/A3/A5) [735sq.m GEA], together with works to the two basements and the ground floor level with associated servicing, waste storage, plant facilities and cycle parking and public realm improvements to New Union Street [Total Floorspace 28,806 sqm GEA].

Easyhotel House, 80 Old Street

Scheme approved Change of use of the existing ground floor Use Class A1/A3 retail/cafe/restaurant unit (163 square meters GIA) to Use class C3 (hotel) to accommodate 7 additional hotel rooms and separate hotel reception area along with the creation of a new external entrance to the ground floor facade, as well as a change of use of existing ground floor hotel and office reception (Use Class B1(a)/C3) to a separate office reception area (Use Class B1(a)).
