Royal National Throat, Nose And Ear Hospital Site 330 Gray’s Inn Road (and fronting Swinton Street and Wicklow Street)

Approved. Redevelopment of the former Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital site, comprising: Retention of 330 Gray’s Inn Road and a two storey extension above for use as hotel (5 above ground storeys in total), demolition of all other buildings, the erection of a part 13 part 9 storey building plus upper and lower ground floors (maximum height of 15 storeys) for use as a hotel (including a cafe and restaurant); covered courtyard; external terraces; erection of a 7 storey building plus upper and lower ground floors (maximum height of 9 storeys) for use as office together with terraces; erection of a 10 storey building plus upper and lower ground floors (maximum height of 12 storeys) for use as residential on Wicklow Street and office space at lower ground and basement floors; erection of a 5 storey building plus upper and lower ground floors (maximum height of 7 storeys) for use as residential on Swinton Street and associated residential amenity space; together with a gymnasium; new basement; rooftop and basement plant; servicing; cycle storage and facilities; refuse storage; landscaping and other ancillary and associated works.

21-23 Parkhouse Street

Approved. Demolition of existing building at 21-23 Parkhouse Street and erection of two blocks (Block A and Block B) of 5 and part-7/part10 storeys. Block A comprises a 5-storey block for commercial/employment use (879sqm) and Block B comprises a part-7/part 10-storey block with ground floor commercial/employment use (111sqm) and 33 residential dwellings, accessible car parking, cycle parking, refuse storage, and associated landscaping.

Land Wilmer Place

Scheme approved. Erection of a building of up to four storeys comprising 30 residential units (Use Class C3); and associated development including a landscaped courtyard, living roofs, car parking spaces and cycle and refuse stores.

16 Orsman Road

Scheme approved. Demolition of existing buildings on site and erection of a part 5, part 6 storey building comprising office floorspace (Use Class E); a flexible unit at ground floor level (Use Class E); and provision of associated waste storage, cycle parking, balconies, roof and rear terraces and plant.

 

45 Kilburn Park Road & Peebles House, 40 Carlton Vale

Scheme approved. Redevelopment of site to provide ‘Extra Care’ residential facility (Use Class C3) ranging between 3-6 storeys with terraces and courtyard and a building ranging between 2-6 storeys to provide residential dwellings (Use Class C3); together with the provision of associated communal facilities including café and hairdressers, podium level car parking and landscaping.

Butterfly Walk Shopping Centre and land to rear at Denmark Hill, Orpheus Street, Daneville Road and Wren Road

Approved. Part redevelopment, part refurbishment of the Butterfly Walk Shopping Centre and the addition of build-over development and new buildings, together accommodating the retained and remodelled supermarket, refurbished and reconfigured retail units, a mix of homes, a cinema, a community use unit, public realm and landscaping, replacement car parking for up to 32 vehicles, and other associated works.

20 Tileyard Road

Approved. Demolition of the existing building and the erection of a five- storey (plus basement) commercial building comprising industrial (Class E(g)(iii)/B2/B8) and Class E(g) floorspace; and the provision of associated access, cycle parking and refuse storage.

City Tower And City Place House 40 – 55 Basinghall Street 

Approved. Demolition of the existing building at 55 Basinghall Street (known as City Place House) and the erection of a thirteen storey Class E building for commercial, business and service use with Class E retail use at ground floor level with works to include partial removal, re-alignment and reinstatement of the Bassishaw Highwalk*; partial demolition, reconfiguration and refurbishment of the basement, lower ground, ground and mezzanine floors of 40 Basinghall Street (known as City Tower) for Class E commercial, business and service and retail use works to include the provision of a new lift and staircase between street and Highwalk level and reconfiguration and re landscaping of the existing first floor terrace area; formation of a new pedestrian route between London Wall and Basinghall Street; hard and soft landscaping works including alterations to and within the public highway; other works incidental to the proposed development (49,119 sq.m).

St Pancras Hospital, 4 St Pancras Way 

Scheme approved. Partial redevelopment of the site, involving the demolition of seven existing buildings (Ash House, Bloomsbury Day Hospital, the Camley Centre, Jules Thorn Day Hospital, Kitchen and the Post Room & Former Mortuary) and construction of a part seven, part ten storey (plus roof plant) purpose-built eyecare, medical research and educational centre for Moorfields Eye Hospital, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Charity. New building to comprise a mixture of clinical, research and education purposes, including eye care accident and emergency department, outpatients, operating theatres, research areas, education space, cafe and retail areas, admin space and plant space. Associated site re-landscaping works including formation of patient drop off area to St Pancras Way, new public realm and routes through the site, cycle parking and servicing ramp and cross over to Granary Street.

190-194 St Anns Hill

Scheme approved. Partial demolition of the existing building and the erection of a four storey building at 190 – 192 (including the retention of the existing front facade and the rebuilding of the rear facade / boundary wall); the erection of a three-storey rear extension rear plus mansard to No 194; the erection of dormer roof to the front of No. 192; the provision of font and rear terraces at first and second floor levels. Works in association with the provision of 13 x 1-bedroom, 7 x 2-bedroom, 2 x 3-bedroom flats, with associated refuse and bicycle store.
