74-82 Rye Lane in front of Peckham Rye Station and 2-10 Blenheim Grove

Scheme approved. Creation of a new public square between Peckham Rye Station and Rye Lan following demolition of the arcade buildings currently located between the north and south railway viaducts; refurbishment of the railway arches facing onto the new square and refurbishment  and erection of a two storey extension to the building at 2-10 Blenheim Grove/82 Rye Lane, to provide A1 (retail), A2 (financial and professional), A3 (restaurant/cafe), A5 (hot food takeaway), B1a (offices) and D1 (non-residential institution) uses, together with hard landscaping, public WC and other associated works.

431-422 Oxford Street

Scheme approved. Use of the basement and part ground and first floors as retail accommodation  (Class A1), use of part ground and first and the entire second to fourth floor levels as eight flats (Class C3). Installation of new shopfronts and alterations to elevations. (Site includes 35 North Row).

18-20 York Buildings

Scheme approved. Use of the building to create 11 residential units comprising one studio flat, 3 x 1 bed units, 4 x 2 bed units and 3 x 3 bed units. External works include a new extension and terraces at rear third floor level and at fifth floor level (front and side) and provision of a new ground floor entrance and new front facade

King’s College London Hampstead Residence

Scheme approved. Development of the site to provide 156 residential units involving demolition  of Queen Mothers Hall, Lord Cameron and Rosalind Franklin buildings and replacement with flats in three 4 and 5 storey buildings, seven houses to the northern boundary and three houses between the Chapel and Queen Mothers Hall; relocation and refurbishment of the Summerhouse; alterations and extensions to retained buildings, including listed buildings; excavation of 2-storey basement to the western part of the site and a 1-storey basement to the replacement buildings for Lord Cameron and Rosalind Franklin, lower the level of the lower ground floor of Bay House; provision of 97 car parking spaces, associated cycle parking, refuse/recycling facilities, plant equipment and landscaping works including tree removal across the site. This application is a departure from policy (Development on Designated Open Space).

Scheme approved. Demolition of the existing mixed use building (restaurant and 2 bed flat) and erection of 4 storey building plus single storey roof level, comprising restaurant (Use Class A3) and 6 residential units (2 x studio, 2x 1, 2×2 bed).

Ashton Court, 254-256 Camden Road

Scheme deferred. Reconfiguration, part demolition and extension of sheltered accommodation (Class C3), from 36 units (29 x studios, 6 x 1 bedroom and 1 x 2 bedroom) to provide 24 x 1 bedroom units (Class C3) and 5 x 2 bedroom mews houses (Class C3).

Land south of Nine Elms Lane comprising DHL Depot and 1-12 Ponton Road and 51 Nine Elms Lane

Variations approved. Variation of Condition 61 (approved drawings) and Condition 10 (Development Specification) in respect of Plots A010 and A11 Phase 1 of planning permission 2011/1815 (as amended) dated 30th March 2012 for the “demolition of all existing buildings and construction of a mixed use redevelopment to provide residential units, including affordable housing, retail, financial and professional services, cafe/restaurant, bar and hot food takeaway uses, car showrooms, office floorspace and flexible workspace, a hotel, community uses assembly and leisure uses, associated basement and ground level parking and servicing; energy centres; new vehicles and pedestrian access and circulation; and new public amenity space and landscaping including part of the ‘Linear Park’. Proposal seeks amendments to the ground, first, second and third floor of Plot A10 and the second floor of Plot A11 to provide eight additional residential units.

Peabody Estate, St Johns Hill

Variations approved. Variation of condition 15 (development in accordance with the approved drawings) of planning permission ref.2012/1258 dated 18/10/12 (which approved the demolition of all existing buildings. Erection of five buildings of 4-12, 4-8, 7, 5-7 and 4-6 storeys to provide 527 residential units (135 x 1 bed, 261 x 2 bed 105 x 3 bed and 26 x 4 bed), with approx 7800 square metres of private, communal and public space and public routes. Car parking (121 spaces with basement and 15 spaces at grade), 687 cycle parking spaces plus approximately 530 square metres of community space in the centre of the site and approximately 569 square metres of commercial space (classes A1-A5 (retail, financial and professional services, cafe/restaurant, take away, pub/bar and/or B1 office use) at the northern end of the site. Vehicular accesses from Comyn Road and Eckstein Road and emergency access from St John’s Hill and Strath Terrace.

 

The proposed amendments to the approved scheme include:

  • Plot 2 (near the centre of the site) – alterations to the internal layout and first floor fenestration detailing of the community use. Replacement of 2 x 4 bed maisonettes with 4 x 2 bed flats at ground and first floors (increasing total units within this building from 31 to 33).
  • Plot 9 (fronting Comyn Road and Eckstein Road) – additional 8 units (increasing the total units within this building from 63 to 71 units), alterations to the mix of units proposed (including an increase of 21 x 1 bed units, 3 x 2 bed units, 4 x 4 bed units and a decrease of 20 x 3 bed units from the approved scheme), and to the tenure by including 8 intermediate tenure units. Relocation of the exterior deck to the courtyard/interior elevation with associated alterations to the elevations. Extensions to each end of the top floor. Creation of recessed balconies and amendments to materials on the Comyn Road/Eckstein Road frontages.

Battersea Park

Scheme approved. Installation of a temporary motor racing circuit within the boundary of Battersea Park involving civil works on Carriage Drive, for the purpose of the Federation Internationale de l’Automoile (FIA) Formula E Championship to be held on 2nd and 3rd July 2016. Development will also comprise of installation of temporary infrastructure including safety barriers and fencing and provision of temporary structures associated with the Event operations, hospitality, broadcast and technical systems. Event set-up to begin on 16th June 2016 with dismantling and reinstatement to be complete by 12th July 2016.
