Camden

PW reports that Arriva has become the first tenant to sign up for Blackstone’s Lacon London in Holborn, leasing 26,000 sq ft at a rent of £67.50 per sq ft.

City of London

EG reports that Towergate is to take 30,000 sq ft at Schroder Real Estate’s 55 Bishopgate, The insurance broker has signed a 10-year lease, where rents are understood to be £62.50 per sq ft.

City of Westminster

PW repots that BHP Billiton has taken 25,000 sq ft on a 15-year lease at Land Securities Nova.

PW reports that Capital & Counties has signed up lifestyle brand Petersham Nurseries to take a 16,000 sq ft pre-let at its Kings Court development in Covent Garden.

EG reports that Ricehmont has teamed up with Crown Acquisitions to buy 50 New Bond Street for £210m – a 2.75% yield. 

EG reports that Howard DeWalden Estate is under offer to purchase 7-10 Chandos Street from Wesleyan Assurance Society for £70m – a yield of 2.66%. BNP Paribas Real Estate is acting for Wesleyan Assurance.

Southwark

PW reports that Aberdeen Asset Management is closing in on a deal to sell the Harlequin Building at 65 Southwark Street. Meadow Partners is under offer to buy the 51,129 sq ft office at a yield of around 4.4%.

EG reports that Peabody has withdrawn its plans for a 547-home scheme at its Borough Triangle site after a falling out between  the housing association and Ministry of Sound, who it was proposing move into a 53,000 sq ft noise-proof basement.
