A brief introduction to London Planning

Welcome to London Planning, a new service provided by Westminster Property Association in partnership with Belgrave Communications.

For a number of years now the WPA has been keeping its members informed of all planning decisions and news taking place in the City of Westminster. However we recognise that our members do not operate in Westminster alone, and each has commercial interests in other neighbourhoods of our great capital city. It is also apparent that central London is growing exponentially year on year. Where previously ‘central London’ would refer solely to the two historic Cities of Westminster and London, recently is has come to refer to a much larger area, and it is important that the WPA reflects this change in the service we offer to members.

London Planning will bring together the major stories from 11 central London boroughs; Camden, City of London, City of Westminster, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Islington, Lambeth, the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Wandsworth. The content hosted here will not be an exhaustive list, rather a carefully selected snapshot of the major planning news from London each week.

As the amount of content on the site begins to grow, you will see a number of new sections emerge, such as Borough pages which will list news, applications, and practical information on planning committees, and News and Editorial sections which will feature major stories from across central London and opinion pieces from industry experts. You will also be able to filter all major applications by borough, developer, planning consultant, or architect – providing an in-depth and fully malleable directory of all major schemes being approved across central London.

I hope you will find this a useful and informative tool, and please do get in touch with a member of the WPA team if you have any feedback or feel that you would like to be involved.
